Will there be cars in the New System?
by laverite ingrowing up as a jw i always imagined the new system (tm) as being just like it's presented in the literature (tm).
i thought we'd all be hanging around with dorky looks on our faces, petting tigers and panda bears all day while we eat fruit and practice our dorky grins.. i've never seen a pic from the society (tm) showing cars or planes (or other forms of transport) in the literature (tm).
what did you imagine as far as transportation in the new system (tm)?

New Light
by Spade ini've noticed quite a few dissidents of jehovah's organization that have left with some fixation on jehovah's witnesses concept of new light.
i really don't understand.
the antiquity of religion may be historically educational, but not always personally illuminating.

I heard this analogy about the light getting brighter and brighter which made so much sense to me that I could then start to see more clearly myself.
There is a chair in a very dark room. As more light shines on the chair the shape becomes more and more obvious until we can see it is indeed a chair. Then as the light gets brighter and brighter we can see more and more clearly the details of the chair ie, the colours texture and grain of the wood. However, at no time did the chair turn into a table. It remained a chair and certainly did not flip flop between chair and table at any time!!!

Growing Up With Violence

once out the ill-hung door and into the labyrinthine wood that all but put the tiny speck of four rotting walls safely off the map, mommy went to work.

I really don't understand how to forgive parents that were abusive. I know peple say its hard to move on til you do but how do you do it? I want to for my sake not theirs. They don't give a rat's arse about me so it won't make any difference to them if I forgive them or not. I thought I would if they died but they are lingering on and are now in their 80s.

Is there a Logical explanation for the spooky things happening at my daughter, Ali's house?!?!!!!
by coffee_black inok.... looking for some logical explainations.... my daughter, ali, who i've been posting about on the forum...who has developed congestive heart failure.... has had some spooky experiences lately in her house.
here are a few of the things that happened:.
about a month ago, ali and her son david, heard noises from the attic above ali's bedroom...that sounded like something was being dragged across the attic floor.

Derren Brown is excellent at debunking all the sharlatans and mediums out there. He himself was once a happy clappy christian and helped me massively before I found this website. Science of scams was a brilliant series. Probably on youtube if you want to know the scientific explanation of how ouija boards and the like really work.

I would say YES and recording equipment in affected rooms will most likely reveal a source that is not of the paranormal variety. Animal or human is my bet!
